Entropy (given discrete random variable X\mathcal{X}, and p ⁣:X[0,1]p\colon \mathcal{X}\to[0, 1]):

H(p):=xXp(x)logp(x) H(p) := -\sum_{x \in \mathcal{X}} p(x) \log p(x)

Cross-entropy:

H(p,q):=xXp(x)logq(x) H(p,q) := -\sum_{x\in\mathcal{X}} p(x)\, \log q(x)
