I use tags for the following purpose:

• #public indicates that a note is to be published on my web site.

• #confidence/low and #confidence/high indicates how confident I am in the contents of the note. Low-confidence notes are excluded from search indexes, but are not visually different from other notes.

• #wip indicates that the note needs revision. There is some overlap with #confidence/low.

• #week­notes indicates that this note is a week­notes entry. I am not entirely sure this is the approach I want to use long-term, but it works for now.
